Multi Skilled Craftsperson Higher Level Painter & Decorator

We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic person to work in the Estates department at Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
You should be experienced, time served and suitably qualified painter/ decorator.
Flexible working hours will be required where you will assist other trades and undertake tasks to maintain the building services.
The Estates team at the RLI is part of the UHMBT maintenance services that provide maintenance to all Trust healthcare estate, building’s, plant and equipment. The team at the RLI consists of Electrical/mechanical and building craft persons managed by a dedicated Estates maintenance management team.
Close working relationships are essential to provide the required core service requirements.
The post holder will carry out all maintenance work at all premises within the Morecambe Bay Trust area.
This will involve working alongside other trade groups to provide an effective maintenance, repair and installation service which is responsive to user’s needs.
Undertake work appropriate to their core tradecraft skill.
They will, however, progressively be trained to acquire elements of each other’s skills with the intention of reaching levels of multi trade flexibility and competence to enable them to achieve and apply their ability where required.
We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
Our community services for adults are provided in people’s homes, community centres, clinics, GP Practices, community hospitals and our main hospitals. Our aim is to work with people to help them remain independent, improve their health and manage their conditions through high quality care, advice and support.
