We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Wilnecote team in the position of Multi-Skilled Engineer.
The primary objective of this role is to maintain the site mechanical and electrical plant and equipment to ensure the efficient and safe working of the plant. The role holder will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance and installation of new equipment as required, attending to break downs and assisting the Fitters and Electrician with their shift duties, and responding to and acting upon the fault report system.

Your duties would include but not limited to the following;

  • Health and Safety of self and others.
  • To be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • Conducting preventative and planned maintenance.
  • Dealing with plant break downs.
  • Carryout shut down preparatory work.
  • Ensure effective communication through daily logbook entries.
  • Maintaining department and site housekeeping standards.
  • Participating in continuous site improvement.
  • Work with engineering contractors as required.
  • Maintain, inspect, and test site services as and when required.
  • Ensure the integrity of the stores by booking out items and communicating zero stock items.
  • Breakdown reporting through MBR’S.
  • Completion of TPM/PPM activities.
  • To constantly monitor each stage of the process.
  • Report to the engineering manager any issues or shortfalls that will affect production.

About You;

  • Experience of industrial installations and control systems.
  • The ability to fault find and test automated machinery.
  • Knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
  • Welding and Cutting experience would be advantageous.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • A good understanding of health and safety is essential.
  • You will need a good working knowledge of PLCs and all associated controlled automated equipment, and be competent in fault finding.
  • Fanuk robot programming would be an advantage.
