ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Campbelltown Hospital is seeking a dedicated and energetic Allied Health Assistant to work in the Rehabilitation Acceleration Program.
This role offers a great opportunity to develop skills in a healthcare setting, providing clinical support under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional.
The Rehabilitation Acceleration Program provides an increased intensity of therapy to patients in an acute setting. The team consists of an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Allied Health Assistant and Rehabilitation Consultant.
Key duties include implementing therapy plans under direction of an allied health professional, documenting in clinical files, effective clinical handover, and communicating with cultural sensitivity and confidentiality. Responsibilities also include ensuring administrative tasks are completed promptly and monitoring stores to maintain sufficient supplies.
The Allied Health Assistant will also participate in departmental meetings, supervision, quality improvement and ongoing professional development through relevant Continuous Professional Development activities.

Responsibilities:
The Multidisciplinary Allied Health Assistant (Level 2/3) is responsible for providing a high quality clinical service to clients and their families/carers under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional to optimise health outcomes for the clients of the service. The Allied Health Assistant is also responsible for undertaking designated departmental and administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery.
