Purpose of the Job: As the Technical Services Supervisor, your responsibilities will include instructing/supporting the engineering team and managing subcontractor activity. You’ll also provide administrative support to the Technical Services Manager and undertake training and mentoring of the team. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical building services equipment.Main Assignments:- Undertake all allocated tasks in a timely and professional manner.- Undertake training and appointment as an AP/CP in appropriate disciplines.- Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment.- Ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.- Communicate clearly and regularly with Helpdesk colleagues and management team regarding workflow.- Report service failures/risks to the site management team for formal communication with the client.- Keep up to date with any assigned training.- Assist in maintaining site filing and administration systems to a good standard.Context and Main Issues:The jobholder must manage a wide range of systems including HVAC, electrical distribution/final circuits, fire systems, Simmtronic lighting systems, building fabric, and water quality management. Accountabilities:- Customer Focus: Make decisions with the customer in mind and add continued value to service delivery.- Planning & Organising: Prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.- Initiative: Apply own knowledge and expertise to help develop existing processes.- Teamwork: Work effectively in a mix of client, in-house, and service partner environments.- Communication: Possess effective interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
Job ProfileKnowledge, Skills, and Experience:- Electrically qualified multi-skilled engineer with C&G Level 3 & 18th edition.- Minimum 3 years’ experience within a building services role (corporate environment).- Experience in utilizing and diagnosing issues with the Simmtronic lighting control system.- Experience using a works order planning database, e.g., Maximo.- Ability to work without supervision as well as part of a team.- Good awareness and understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices.- Minimum IOSH Working Safely or equivalent safety accreditation.- Good computer literacy and operation of Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases.- Self-motivated with a flexible approach to the role.- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.- Excellent technical awareness and overview of M&E building services.- Proven experience in issuing permits, writing risk assessments, and HS&E active monitoring.- Experience managing/coordinating service contractors and contracts.

Working Arrangement:

  • Working 4 Days, and 3 Days Off
  • Working 4 Days On will include some Saturday’s and will be 10 Hour workdays.
  • Shift Patterns: 07:00 to 16:00, and 09:00 to 18:00
  • Call out rota for out of hours
