Job Summary:
Are you ready to be part of Central 1’s innovative team? We’re looking for a Murex Functional Analyst to support our Treasury and Financial teams, and collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to optimize the Murex (Mx3) application. Drive both minor enhancements and major projects, ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement. What you’ll be doing:

  • Forge strong partnerships with FX, Derivatives, and Fixed Income trading desks, guaranteeing precise trade capture, event processing, and accurate representation of positions and risk exposures.
  • Provide initiative-taking support in troubleshooting production issues across Back Office, Middle Office, Market Risk, and Treasury Accounting functions, ensuring swift resolution.
  • Take ownership of issues, orchestrating effective escalation and resolution processes, while fostering collaboration with external vendors and internal IT groups.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, propose design enhancements, and lead iterative testing through to implementation.
  • Facilitate the seamless integration of periodic Murex upgrades and patches, performing reconciliation processes to maintain system connectivity and operational stability.
  • Configure financial instruments within Murex to align with market practices and organizational requirements, leveraging your expertise in technology scripts and SQL.

What you’ll have:

  • 5+ years’ experience supporting the Murex application within Banking, Financial Services, Capital Markets or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ involvement in IT application support roles, including implementation, conversion, upgrades, and product testing.
  • Demonstrate excellence in business analysis specifically within the capital market domain.
  • Possess a deep understanding of financial instruments such as IRD and CURR within the Murex framework.
  • Exhibit proficiency in Murex Front Office modules, trade pricing, valuation models, and risk management.
  • Display expertise in market processes, finance operations, and Murex architecture, with familiarity in trade lifecycle stages.
  • Prior experience configuring or supporting MxML workflows and interfaces is highly desirable.
  • Understanding and experience in Murex with Accounting Rules for trades and positions, as well as knowledge and experience working with the Murex liquidation Module, Are definite assets.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL queries is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with release and configuration management processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, coupled with stakeholder management expertise.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline with hands-on experience in end-to-end systems implementation.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Word, SQL, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and Bit Bucket.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Unix queries, shell scripting, Sybase/Oracle, Linux/UNIX, Web Services, APIs, JavaScript, and Tableau.

Salary: $107,800
The salary represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
