We have an established neurodiversity affirming approach that is only emerging in the private sector, and we provide a combination of clinic based and mobile therapy. We are known for our strengths in Augmentative and Alternative communication.

Tasks

We are seeking a fun, energetic music therapist who has a passion for working with clients and their families to see long term improvements. We want you to bring a positive and enthusiastic attitude to work each day.

  • Ongoing full time position with opportunities to work flexibly.
  • Assessment and therapy of mostly paediatric clients (some adults), mostly with developmental disabiities.
  • Our team is particularly well known in our area for our work with people with complex needs, nonverbal communicators, and alternative communicators.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Music Therapy
  • Registration with Australian Music Therapy Association
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Rights to work in Australia
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
  • Neurodiversity affirming, person centred approach to therapy
  • A desire for constant improvement
  • Laminating, craft, and ukulele skills are highly desirable!
