Description:
Faculty: Faculty II: School of Education, Architecture and the Arts | ID: 5927
The University of Siegen is a modern university with an international orientation and a focus on interdisciplinary research. It currently has around 15,000 students and covers a range of research fields from the humanities, social and economic sciences to natural sciences, engineering and life sciences. With over 2,000 employees, the university is one of the largest employers in the region and offers a unique environment for teaching, study, research and knowledge transfer.
Responsibilities:
The Institute of Music has a focus on music teacher education (all teaching positions). Currently, the Institute is strategically realigning itself and is looking for a nationally and internationally oriented personality who will help shape its future profile. Your music-related teaching in the teacher training programs, incorporating historical perspectives, should contribute to the reciprocal effect of practice and reflection and thus to the increased coherence of artistic, scientific, and pedagogical qualifications. In addition, you should develop a cultural-anthropological and/or cultural-historical focus in the field of sound studies. A focus on music of recent history and the present is expected, taking into account global diversity.
You will actively participate in the strategic development of the cross-institutional, interdisciplinary collaborations of Faculty II (Education – Architecture – Arts). Participation in the cultural studies master’s programs at the University of Siegen and in the development of new programs within Faculty II is expected. Willingness to work in the Center for Teacher Training and Educational Research (ZLB) and on educational research projects is expected.
