THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a National Business Manager to lead the end-to-end strategy and execution of the traditional Independent Foodservice channels including Route Retail, Fruit & Vege, Fuel, Café, and Western Restaurants & Takeaways.
Leading a team of Channel Managers across all categories, you will be responsible for driving growth across Goodman Fielder’s existing customer base, as well as achieving new customer acquisition by implementing high impact sales & marketing strategies.

IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THIS, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

  • Develop and implement the Foodservice Traditional channel strategy
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to identify areas of growth and opportunity
  • Consider long term strategic goals and short-term tactical levers to influence sales volume and profitability
  • Develop compelling new-customer acquisition campaigns
  • Track and understand customer churn, and deliver initiatives to minimize
  • Rapidly expand our product portfolio to drive incremental, long-term growth
    About you
    In order to make this role a success we are looking for a highly experienced Business Development or Account Management professional within the FMCG industry at either a National or Senior Managerial level.

The skillsets, experiences, and capabilities we are looking for include:

  • Experience inspiring high-performing teams to achieve ambitious sales targets
  • Strategic & Commercial Agility – Proven experience in the development & execution of 3–5 year channel strategies
  • Exceptional commercial skills (comprehensive understanding of end-to-end P&L from Revenue to NPAT)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn insight into action
  • An understanding of NZ Route Retail and/or Foodservice markets would be ideal
