POSITION SUMMARY:
As a National Distribution Key Account Manager at HMTX Global, you will have a diversity of responsibilities. Your primary objective will be to manage and further develop our existing customer base while also spearheading the acquisition of new key customers within the defined sales segments and distribution channels in the German territory.
The main duties include designing plans to meet sales targets, developing and cultivating relationships with clients, marketing plans, product presentations and trade-show operations. The main focus and key customers, segments, and distribution channels to be targeted are: Traditional wholesale/distribution channel, Wood distribution channel, Key retailers/Interior Decoration channel, DIY and E-Commerce channels.
You can work independently and are not afraid to make decisions. You are hands-on and take initiative. You have strong strategic insight and a passion for sales growth while fostering lasting client relationships and you believe in good cooperation with your colleagues.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- You have a good command of the English and German (native) language, both spoken and written.
- You have minimum 10 years’ experience in Building Materials, Interior Decoration or Flooring & related accessories (B2B, B2C, Residential), in both Branded and OEM businesses segments, and 8-10 years proven experience in a commercial position, managing and motivating a local and remote sales team.
- You have proven sales management experience and a good record of achieving targets.
- You are familiar with CRM systems, and have experience in Microsoft Office such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- You are prepared to travel intensively and efficiently across Germany, visiting customers and participating in specific events such as trade fairs, customer events, etc.
- We expect you to Travel up to 2-4 days per month to the office in Oud Gastel, the Netherlands.
Responsibilities:
- You lead the sales activities in the German territory.
- You communicate sales goals to the sales agents and ensure agents are always informed about product portfolio updates and/or new product introductions, enabling the progress of those goals.
- You ensure consistent, profitable growth in both existing and new customers by exploring the defined geographic area, and distribution channels. Identifies objectives and execute strategies and action plans to improve short and long-term sales and earnings.
- You manage and meet the sales target and Gross Margin objectives set within the defined deadline to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
- You establish and manages effective programs to coach and train the sales agents team, customers’ salespeople, marketing, and technical teams.
