POSITION SUMMARY

The National Human Resources Manager will be responsible for all HR functions and activities globally, predominately in the US Region. Supporting the CEO and General Manager in the management, development and maintenance of HR initiatives and programs. This position will be a key contributor to the global leadership team in supporting and driving a positive culture and supporting all HR initiatives.
Our National Human Resources Manager will be an employee champion, change agent, cultural ambassador, and leadership advocate in executing HR initiatives in alignment with Global HR goals and business objectives.
This position will play an important role in performance-coaching North American employees. This is a key position which will facilitate two-way communicating across EMBED departments and regions.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

  • Minimum of 10 years progressive human resources generalist experience.
  • Experience performance-coaching professionals in a high performing environment.
  • Knowledge and deep understanding of all aspects of human resources in US.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including recruiting, talent management, training, compensation practices, performance management, culture development, employee relations, federal and state respective employment law.
  • Proficient in HR and Payroll systems, preferably Trax & BBHR.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong conflict management and consultation skills.
  • Experience creating an atmosphere of teamwork with the ability to lead by example.
  • Experience building morale and spirit while instilling company values .
  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • “Hands-on” leadership approach to management and team development.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Must be objective and approachable and able to balance support of management while acting as employee champion.
  • Positive presence and attitude in managing complex employee sensitivities.
  • Resilience to deal ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Driver of organizational culture and employee engagement through HR Programs and via internal surveys.
  • Partner with Local GM and Team Leaders to provide HR guidance as needed.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements in the US related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance across all relevant US states.
  • Serve as a policy expert and advisor to assist the US business in adherence of company policies, processes and practices.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issue and conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations and follow up.
  • Manage the end to end recruitment process and onboarding program for all new people
  • Manage Benefits eg. 401K, Health Cover including annual Open Enrolment
  • Trains and coach business leaders and managers in skills development to ensure strong leadership across the US business.
  • Coordinates all onboarding and offboarding activities in accordance with global guidelines including contract documentation, benefits enrolment, induction etc.
  • Managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle for US business (aligned with Global standards) and ensure adherence to local compliance.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with Global HR members to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Provides day to day performance management guidance and consultation to US Business (coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Partners closely with US Team Leaders to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and maintain employee retention.
  • Provide guidance and input on business restructures, workforce planning, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Overseeing general office management to ensure the smooth running of the US office
  • Proactively identify and participate in local Safety initiatives and solutions, with a view to proactively prevent any safety risks.
  • Act as trusted Advisor to all Global Senior Leadership relating to issues and employees
  • Responsible for leading health, well-being and charitable initiatives in region
  • Manage employee benefit programs to include health & welfare, retirement and workers compensation.
  • Manage bi-weekly payroll function and provide reports to finance as required
  • Organise office functions as required.
  • Manage local Travel Management Company.
  • Working closely with North America team on performance coaching.
