Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As National Operations Manager at ICIB Brokerweb, you will be at the forefront of driving operational efficiency across their nationwide branch network. Reporting into the CFO/COO your role will involve managing various aspects of Fire & General business systems, assisting with budget preparations, managing costs, and reporting on outcomes. You will also be responsible for leading strategic initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting leaders across different practices, and spearheading training and development efforts. Your ability to connect with others, understand their needs, and work collaboratively will be key to your success.

  • Manage overall responsibility for the operational functions of Fire & General business systems
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets in consultation with the Executive
  • Manage operating costs within approved budget levels
  • Report monthly on outcomes or as directed, in accordance with timelines set by the Executive
  • Lead the delivery of commitments made to business partners resulting from strategic meetings
  • Support the business in complying with regulatory requirements including adjusting processes and procedures
  • Use insurance knowledge and people management skills to support leaders of virtual claims and personal lines practices
  • Lead training and development initiatives for staff to become proficient with business systems and adopt processes and procedures
  • Engage, motivate and inspire the team to perform at their full potential

The ideal candidate for the National Operations Manager role brings a wealth of experience in Fire & General Insurance/Brokerage operations. You have demonstrated proficiency in project management, training & procedure manual development & delivery, workflow management, and change management. Your sound financial acumen coupled with strong competency in Microsoft Suite of products sets you apart. Your empathetic nature, commitment to understanding others, and ability to work collaboratively will be key in this role.

  • Proven experience in Insurance/Brokerage operations
  • Strong competency in project management including creation, monitoring & execution - you understand what’s important and are able to get it done
  • Experience in training & procedure manual development & delivery
  • Proficiency in workflow management
  • Sound financial & commercial acumen
  • Experience in change management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skill
