Pinchin is currently looking for a National Practice Leader – Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ). The successful candidate can reside anywhere in Canada.
The National Practice Leader at Pinchin Ltd. leads the community of Indoor Environmental Quality practitioners across the country. The National Practice Leader will ensure that we continually improve the quality of our work, and that members of the practice team are focussed on providing the best product and service to our clients at all times. The National Practice Leader will lead our responses to changes in industry, emerging issues and client expectations, and help our Indoor Environmental Quality operations to remain current and competitive. The successful candidate will join his/her peers and a team of Practice Leaders from other service lines to collaborate and strategize with.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science or Applied Science degree in relevant discipline.
  • CET or other relevant credentials; a CIH, ROH, or P.Eng. designation will be considered an asset.
  • 10+ years in a related role; experience within the consulting industry will also be considered an asset.
  • Experience with training and mentoring staff
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strength in leadership, communication, negotiation, time management, and decision making.
  • Proven positive attitude towards technology advancement within fieldwork and reporting.
  • Must be able to read, comprehend, and proof written reports and correspondence.
  • Relationships with research institutes and academia would be considered an asset.
  • Availability to travel

Responsibilities:

  • Overall Service Delivery and Quality of Work
  • Leading a team of Regional Practice Leaders and Practice Specialists
  • Working closely with the Practice representatives from the other Pinchin Group companies
  • Develop a national strategic plan in conjunction with Regional Managers/EVPs, for new business opportunities and service features that align with Corporate Strategy and Market Need
  • Providing technical training and mentoring within the Practice
  • Sharing expertise with others on the team and in the company
  • Performing regular visits to all offices offering Indoor Environmental Quality services
  • Speaking or moderating at relevant conferences and networks with industry leaders
  • Ensuring that knowledge is shared with current and prospective clients at company-sponsored seminars, with white papers, blogs, etc.
  • Publicizing the company’s practice area expertise
  • Leading technology advancements within the Practice, including but not limited to researching field data collection tools and reporting efficiencies using technology
  • Representing the company’s practice area expertise in developing new business and services
  • Developing and maintaining templates, SOPs and other Practice resources
  • Auditing completed projects and mentor team members to improve quality.
  • Maintaining an awareness of Practice Line Financial and Business Performance.
  • Contributing to the development of new business materials and presentations related to the Practice.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the Director of Practice Leadership, CTO or CEO.
