Description:

Wahana Visi Indonesia is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to work and collaborate to empower the most vulnerable children, family and community through community development, advocacy, and emergency response for sustainable transformation regardless of religion, race, ethnic or gender.
Since 1998, Wahana Visi Indonesia has carried out various community development programs focusing on children. Hundred thousands of children in Indonesia have been benefited from WVI’s accompaniment program. Wahana Visi Indonesia is a trusted partner of World Vision International.
Key Responsibilities:
To manage the Cocoa Life project and implementing five pillars of Community Development interventions for Cocoa Life Program in in sulawesi (south sulawesi, south east sulawesi and will be in central sulawesi). The role must bring together the project team, farmers, supplier partners and other stakeholders to empower cocoa-growing communities.Key duties will include project management as well as coordination with stakeholders and donor to ensure donor’s requirement are met.

Strategy Development & Planning

  • Manage the full design process including in depth selected commodities Market System Analysis, Constraint and Root Cause Analysis, Intervention design and business modelling/negotiation.
  • Develop and implement a plan together with staff to form, facilitate and manage effective relationships and networks with various development partners. This would include: government departments, community-based organizations, other NGOs, local businesses, churches, other faith-based organizations, and the community leaders of the area. Be responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with key partners at national level.

Resource Acquisition & Management

  • Prepare program budgets in consultation with key partners for management and donor approval and ensure funds are spent in alignment with budgets in a timely manner.
  • Monitor program expenditures to ensure that they are within the project budget at national level and in accordance with Wahana Visi Indonesia financial policies.
  • Ensure the effective management and engagement of key stakeholders and partners to maximize program impact and success.

Accountability & Quality Assurance:

  • Lead negotiation, communication and working closely with partners include Government, Large scale private companies, Bank or Micro Finance Institutions and ensure Partnership with Government, private companies, Bank/MFIs.
  • Manage and report on the budget according to accountability standards of the national office and donor guidelines, while ensuring the highest levels of financial stewardship and integrity.
  • Ensure that the DME enable the program and the projects to make a defined and measurable in working together with partners.
  • Ensure that the DME processes and products are in alignment with standards, associated, iMSD guidelines. Prepare and negotiate “Project Charter” with cross-functional teams in order to meet project milestones.
  • Ensure monitoring system and tools are developed and used by all staff to track the progress of project implementation, and to capture learning.
  • Share lessons learned with communities, development partners and other WV Partnership stakeholders
  • Ensure that the processes of planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation are performed on time and with high quality.
  • To prepare project documentation and reporting at national level to ensure all required report are submitted on time, accurate, and complete. This is including provision of information for monthly report, quarterly report, monitoring checklist, along with updated indicator tracking table and project documentation, and host visits of sponsors, donors, and WV staff from other offices and coordinate with Communications Unit all media and film crew visits to the project area.
  • Ensure that the programs and projects contribute to supporter transformation.

Networking & Coordination:

  • Coordinate with zone and national grant management to ensure coordinated and effective program implementation.
  • Proactively and positively represent WVI to internal and external partners and stakeholders at national level to support the organisation’s development aims.
  • Develop robust networks and excellent relationships with stakeholders in support of key program messages to increase understanding and support for WVI’s cause and ministry.
  • Develop robust networks and dynamic relationships with religious institutions, especially Churches, to support and establish cooperation for transformational development;
  • Coordinate with like-minded GOs, NGOs, FBOs to increase partnerships and strengthen advocacy messages.
  • Ensure that partnerships with other development partners are focused on promoting the sustainable market change that support farmers.

Management & Leadership:

  • Provide line management for the program including performance management, coaching and capacity building.
  • Provide overall leadership for program staff recruitment, retention, capacity building (including caching and mentoring), workload management, and orientation; and Develop appropriate organizational chart, JDs and performance goals according to Project Design and AOP
  • Create an enabling and positive team environment where staff are able to develop their talents and grow in their development sector skills, knowledge and professionalism
  • Facilitate and lead spiritual nurture activities for team members according to WV core documents.
  • Facilitate effective teamwork, coordination and work planning among coordinators, officers, facilitators, and administrative staff to ensure program implementation as standard.

Job Qualifications

  • Min. 3 years working experience in Economic/Marketing Project, include 2 years experience as program manager.
  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Commerce, or Business is preferred, though a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is also acceptable.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English communication is essential.
  • Experience in market assessment, market analysis, market research or closely related role.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to think critically and solve real world problems.
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Frequent travel to implementation area is also required.
