You will be an experienced and dynamic professional with a strong background in security management, emergency response, and operational intelligence. You will also have:

  • Extensive, demonstrated experience in the Security and Intelligence industry, with proven safety leadership and a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Ability to embrace innovative thinking and confidently implement changes that drive best outcomes and cost efficiencies.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management and leadership, with a demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships both internally and externally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong record-keeping, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and integrity, ensuring all security and intelligence data is protected and only shared with authorized personnel.
  • Ability to travel and attend after-hour events as required.

The key accountabilities are not limited to but include:

  • Develop and implement a National Security & Intelligence plan with clear strategies, objectives, and performance outcomes.
  • Oversee security, emergency management, and incident response across all centres, ensuring consistency.
  • Manage QICRE Security contractors to meet service delivery KPI’s and lead Integrated Services contracts including quarterly reviews and performance management.
  • Provide operational intelligence on security threats and opportunities, and report to the Head of National Operations as required.
  • Identify efficiencies and improvement opportunities in security and intelligence operations and enhance Integrated Services contracts for better performance and value.
  • Provide security intelligence relevant to the retail industry to aid QICRE’s operations and represent QICRE at industry forums and working groups.
  • Advise and support the Head of National Operations and General Manager of Shopping Centres on security and intelligence matters.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation changes related to security and emergency management, integrating them into QICRE policies and centre-level execution

Responsibilities:

QIC is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced National Security & Intelligence Manager to join our Shopping Centre Management Operations team based in either Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane.
This role will primarily focus on delivering the National Operations strategy, specifically in the realms of security and emergency/incident management. This role is critical in providing operational intelligence to the Head of National Operations, supporting daily management and operational planning for the QIC Shopping Centre portfolio.
