SCHEDULE: MONDAY - THURSDAY 5:30AM - 4:00PM / FLEXIBILITY TO POSSIBLY TRANSFER TO A MONDAY - FRIDAY 8 HR SCHEDULE
The GSP Special Process Team is seeking a Non-Destructive Testing (NAS 410) trainee who will collaborate with our internal team to enhance and refine our NDT systems and capabilities. While prior NDT experience is preferred, we are open to candidates who are eager to learn and grow in this field. We are committed to providing comprehensive training through a combination of on-the-job experience and formalized instruction.
In this role, you will undergo training to obtain specific NDT certifications, primarily in fluorescent penetrant (PT) and magnetic particle (MT) disciplines. As a valued member of the NDT Special Processes Team, you will be responsible for conducting in-house NDT inspections on critical production hardware and assisting in audits of our quality systems. Additionally, you will receive mentoring from senior-level experienced Inspectors and contribute to driving process improvements through your technical oversight. Requirements:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- The ability to obtain one or more NDT Inspection method certifications: Fluorescent Penetrant (PT)-highly desired, Magnetic particle (MT)
- Experience with testing, and auditing NDT systems such as NADCAP and NAS 410. Direct experience is a plus.
- Experience that includes a background would promote establishing general quality systems understanding and NDT methods
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively within all levels of management, internal and external.
- Knowledge and experience with process control & tools.
- Experience with Microsoft suite and general computer literacy.
- Positive attitude and a drive for continuous improvement.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma and/or equivalent experience and working knowledge of Non-destructive testing and inspection methodologies (NAS 410/ASNT, etc.)
- Organized, good attention to detail, self-motivated and self-directed with a high degree of integrity.
- Any NDT (NAS 410) experiences are highly desirable.
