Major Position Responsibilities:

SUMMARY:

Designs, develops and implements nondestructive testing (NDT) to evaluate the properties and conformance of a material, component or system without causing damage. Records, analyzes and reports test results. Writes testing plans and maintains test documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements.

EDUCATION:

  • Vocational/Technical Training Degree
  • Preferred: Vocation/Technical Training Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Technical school or an applicable skilled trade program
  • 0-3 years prior experience
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Technical Expertise
  • Problem-Solving Skills and Time Management Skills
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Required Newar Vision Acuity and Color Perception

  • Less than 25% travel likely.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform non-destructive tests on objects or materials to examine and attest functionality and performance.
  • Identifies errors and defects in equipment.
  • Use of ultrasound, radiography, or other techniques during the testing process.
  • May be responsible for testing mechanical compoinents, storage, or transport vessels; Like pipelines or containers.

  • Requires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process
  • Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines
