Description:
Overview:
Reporting directly to the Production Manager Element are looking to recruit Trainee NDT Technicians to work within our Aerospace division. You will join a highly qualified and accomplished team to deliver an excellent level of testing while maintaining safety and quality standards at all times. They should be a career oriented individual and motivated to take ownership of their development. Responsibilities:
- Working with NDT processes, primarily Radiography and Dye Penetrant, for the inspection of various industrial components
- Conducting testing and inspection processes in accordance with written procedures
- Working alongside qualified team members who will provide training and guidance- full technical training will be provided to national and internationally recognised standards
- Working with company appointed Level 3 and Technical Management to develop experience and qualification through structured training in designated NDT methods
- Undertake formal training and examination to achieve Level 1 and potentially Level 2 status
- Assisting with other NDT methods, process checks, and data gathering
Skills / Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a non-destructive testing role or a manufacturing role in castings, forgings or welds is desirable
- Experience working within an engineering or Laboratory environment would be advantageousEducated to good standard in maths, or a science related subject (assessment and additional training available)
- Excellent attention to detail, and able to follow instruction
- IT literate, including Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excels in teamwork, and able to work confidently as an individual
- Excellent communication, written and verbal, and inter-personal skills
- Good organisational skills, methodical approach, able to manage deadlines
- Ability to work consistently during high pressure periods
