Right now, we’re looking for a Registered Health Care Professional to join the Needs Assessment Team for Mental Health and Addictions.
Day to day this role is focused on undertaking comprehensive client assessments, and assists the clients to set goals and identify comprehensive planning that will meet their needs. Subsequent monitoring and evaluation of health status is also required.
All assessments use the appropriate assessment tools for the service and for the most part the role works autonomously.
Allied Health Professionals and Registered Nurses will benefit being under the Collective Agreement and have the opportunity to progress through either Merit Steps or Professional Development Recognition Programmes (PDRP).

Skills and experience for success in this role includes;(in additional to being a Registered Health Professional)

  • Understanding of the Health of the older person Strategy and other relevant national policy documents and legislation
  • Previous Mental Health Assessment and Care Planning
  • Commitment to enhancing the quality of life and supporting independent community living and ability to manage client and family expectations.
  • Able to work effectively independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Current Full Clean NZ Drivers Licence
