Description:

The Neonatal Transitional Care Nursery Nurse will work as part of the neonatal and postnatal team under the supervision of transitional care lead nurse who is also supervised by Neonatal and Transitional care Matron.
The post holder will practice throughout the maternity unit but will be primarily based on the postnatal ward. They will be responsible for continuing work with the transitional care team in keeping babies with their mothers. Doing regular observations and assisting the doctors
It will involve working with the Inpatient Maternity
Successful implementation of NTC also requires joint working between midwifery, neonatal staff, and paediatric services. Therefore, it is essential that the post holder is able to work collaboratively in a
multidisciplinary team. In addition, the post holder will be responsible for training and supporting staff
members to provide care for newborns who require NTC.
For regular observations, NAS observations, phototherapy, blood sugar monitoring. The role will involve striving for consistent delivery of high quality NTC at the Trust, with the focus being on the needs of both the mother and baby. This is integral to the philosophy of family-centred care within the maternity unit.
Neonatal Transitional Nursery Nurse
We are looking for a motivated, hardworking, and innovative individual who has previous clinical experience working with babies/neonates. As a Neonatal transitional care nursery nurse, you will be working alongside midwives, neonatal nurses, and neonatologists.
Neonatal Transitional Care enables babies who have additional care requirements to be looked after by their mother with the support of healthcare professionals.
