Description:
Teksouth is seeking a .NET Developer to develop and enhance government software capabilities. This is a remote position, requiring occasional in-office work. The right candidate must live in one of the following geographic locations: Huntsville, AL; Birmingham, AL; Atlanta, GA; Macon, GA; and Warner Robins, GA.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Must possess an active or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
- Security+ certification is a plus. Obtaining one will be a requirement.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on C# and .NET Core.
- At least 3 years of direct, hands-on experience with SQL and MS SQL Server. Note: Experience with entity framework alone does not fulfill this requirement.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with JavaScript and front-end frameworks, with a preference for React (VueJS also acceptable).
- Experience in developing web applications - client and server-side ("full stack")
- Solid understanding of ASP.NET core concepts, including services, dependency injection, and middleware.
- Familiarity with rewriting applications originally in C# or VB.NET is beneficial, as the role involves working with and modernizing legacy software for both on premise and cloud implementations.
- A good understanding of web application security principles, including awareness of common attack vectors and defensive programming techniques.
- Experience developing Microsoft Power Platform applications is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Review the current state of existing systems.
- Generate ideas for system improvements.
- Create detailed technical design documentation and level of effort estimates.
- Development of new systems
- Modernization/Maintenance of existing systems
- Testing newly developed systems and changes to existing systems
- Create developer documentation.
- Work closely with Database Developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Quality Assurance teams, and Documentation teams.
