Description:

Teksouth is seeking a .NET Developer to develop and enhance government software capabilities. This is a remote position, requiring occasional in-office work. The right candidate must live in one of the following geographic locations: Huntsville, AL; Birmingham, AL; Atlanta, GA; Macon, GA; and Warner Robins, GA.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must possess an active or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Security+ certification is a plus. Obtaining one will be a requirement.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on C# and .NET Core.
  • At least 3 years of direct, hands-on experience with SQL and MS SQL Server. Note: Experience with entity framework alone does not fulfill this requirement.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with JavaScript and front-end frameworks, with a preference for React (VueJS also acceptable).
  • Experience in developing web applications - client and server-side ("full stack")
  • Solid understanding of ASP.NET core concepts, including services, dependency injection, and middleware.
  • Familiarity with rewriting applications originally in C# or VB.NET is beneficial, as the role involves working with and modernizing legacy software for both on premise and cloud implementations.
  • A good understanding of web application security principles, including awareness of common attack vectors and defensive programming techniques.
  • Experience developing Microsoft Power Platform applications is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Review the current state of existing systems.
  • Generate ideas for system improvements.
  • Create detailed technical design documentation and level of effort estimates.
  • Development of new systems
  • Modernization/Maintenance of existing systems
  • Testing newly developed systems and changes to existing systems
  • Create developer documentation.
  • Work closely with Database Developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Quality Assurance teams, and Documentation teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the manager.
