POSITION SUMMARY:
Installs, maintains, and administers Gordon Food Service network facilities and services. Performs or assists in performing 2nd and 3rd level support in all areas that the Network domain exists and communicates effectively to and with all other groups that are impacted or that impact offered Network services.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Minimum of 4-5 years of hands-on experience in network administration.
- Proficiency in WAN and LAN network operations.
- Knowledge of RF maintenance and support.
- Proficient with routers, switches, and network monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with firewall configurations and management.
- Proven track record in innovative problem-solving.
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Commitment to achieving or surpassing personal and team goals.
- Ability to devise solutions for a range of moderately complex issues, consulting established policies and practices when necessary.
EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in troubleshooting WAN and LAN issues.
- Support the ordering and provisioning of new WAN circuits.
- Assist in administering and supporting firewalls.
- Contribute to RF design and maintenance efforts.
- Support authentication services administration and issue resolution.
- Utilize and uphold network monitoring applications.
- Thoroughly document all network environment changes.
- Develop and uphold hardware and procedural standards across the network.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of software and firmware revisions for network-controlled products.
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation schedule.
