EDUCATION:

Requires a diploma in computer science or related discipline from a recognized institute of technology, specializing in data communications and networking systems. Industry standard network certifications are an asset.

EXPERIENCE:

Requires three and a half (3.5) years recent experience in an information systems environment involving the network design and analysis, troubleshooting and complex project implementation at a senior level in a large enterprise. A further period of up to six (6) months on the job is required to become thoroughly familiar with the enterprise architecture plan, IS policies and standards and its specific network operating systems and infrastructure components.

Responsibilities:

The Network Analyst is responsible for design, implementation and advanced technical support of Enterprise networks. Performs the role of technical lead for network projects. Monitors and maintains data and voice network performance, optimization and efficiency (i.e. LAN, WAN and Wireless, voice network components, gateways, network peripherals and software products). Coordinates Change Management for the network. Provides resolution support for all escalated network related operational issues and service requests. Provides expertise and assistance to Business Technology Services (BTS) staff concerning network infrastructure requirements.
