This well-known New Zealand company is on the lookout for a Network Architect that will help with designing and implementing network solutions that meet security, availability and performance requirements. You will be reporting into the Network and Security Manager, while also working closely with the Environments Manager, Infrastructure Manager, and vendors to ensure solutions are compliant with applicable regulations and fit for purpose.

To be successful in this role you will have experience in the following:

  • Architecting, designing and implementing secure and useable network solutions.
  • Networking of containerization solutions and container hosting solutions such as Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of Security principles associated with networks, proxies, internet, firewalls, routers & VPN
  • Strong knowledge with commercial network infrastructure products like Fortinet firewalls, Cisco routers and Juniper switches
  • Implementation and management of network security/security tools and processes
  • Architecting network & infrastructure in the VMWare stack
  • Knowledge and understanding of current legislation and governing network security standards
  • Experience with producing documentation to standards
