YOUR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS LIKELY TO INCLUDE….

  • Defining approval and reviewing of network designs
  • Working knowledge within network design and architecture, including familiarity with technologies such as SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and understanding of security principles
  • Working with ITIL, PRINCE and ISO270001 environments
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry best practices of relevant implementation architectures
  • Experience with SDWAN, Network Design, Cisco and Designing

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Network Architect will act as a technical architect specialist within the network and security architecture domains. The Network Architect will encompass the strategic orchestration of network design and architectural planning, ensuring it is in harmony with business objectives and IT strategy.

YOUR OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL FOCUS ON…

  • Collaboration with fellow architects, contributing to the Group Architect board and fostering a cohesive and aligned approach to architectural design and implementation
  • Developing and maintaining network and edge standards, identifying projects, building compelling business cases and driving the consumption of a modern network
  • Building and maintaining relationships with third parties, influencing long-term strategic direction and acting as a trusted advisor to drive engagement to the business
  • Planning and designing the network architecture, including hardware, software, protocols and topology
  • Conducting research and analysis if the network architecture, such as bandwidth, scalability, availability and security
  • Developing and testing network solutions, such as routers, switches, firewalls, servers and wireless devices

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL…

  • Demonstrate Core Company Values at all times
  • Show excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences and working with board-level stakeholders
  • Be able to design, configure, troubleshoot complex network systems, such as LANs, WANs, data centres and cloud networks
  • Be certified or qualified by experience in known architecture frameworks
  • Demonstrate knowledge of network protocols, standards and architectures, such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, LAN, WAN, VPN, MPLS, SDN and NFV
