ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum of four years’ experience as a Network Engineer or Technical Trainer
  • Experience with scripting languages (javascript, python, bash, etc.)
  • Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge, across networking and cybersecurity domains
  • Prepare, edit, and revise technical and user documentation for various projects, ensuring accuracy of product specifications, quality of completeness and compliance
  • Ability to prepare technical training materials and to present to targeted audience
  • Understanding of systems administration, networking and risk/compliance.
  • Ability to work as a part of a team or autonomously
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Have a passion for information security and have a desire to be key player in developing Australia’s first Extended Detection and Response platform and services
  • Experience in network and security implementation and/or operations
  • Good awareness of security and risk management and their implications for technical solutions
  • Knowledge in intrusion IDS/IPS, firewalls and WAF
  • Ability to communicate security issues to peers and management

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Police Clearance

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you passionate about cybersecurity? Do you have a strong attention to detail and proven track-record of delivering results?
We are looking for a motivated cybersecurity Network Engineer team member to join our Security Operations team, who lives and breathes cybersecurity and customer satisfaction. You will work with a team of experts to deliver exemplary internal and external services by using your strong documentation skills, ability to collaborate with others, and determination and drive for constant improvement.
You will be responsible for ensuring that Red Piranha network infrastructure operations efficiency and securely, monitoring network performance, implementing security measures, and troubleshooting network issues. You will also collaborate with the wider team to plan and execute network upgrades and expansions as needed.
You will be so driven to share your knowledge of the product, you will train others both internally and externally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implementing security measures to protect the network from unauthorized access or attacks.
  • Understanding of best practice frameworks like CIS and NIST
  • Performing regular maintenance tasks such as software updates and patches.
  • Documenting network configurations, changes, and procedures.
  • Collaborating with other Security and IT teams to support overall business objectives.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to end-users and internal team members
  • Researching new technologies and recommending improvements to the network infrastructure and product.
  • Monitor Red Piranha and its clients’ networks for improvements
  • Deep understanding of the cyber kill chain and control to risk concepts
  • Recommend safeguards against attack vectors via technical control implementation
  • Perform security research with Red Piranha intelligence analysts
  • Communicate internally and externally the benefits, technical limits, functionality, and operational impacts of Red Piranha’s products.
  • Develop technical training courses for various level (beginner, intermediate and advanced
  • Liaise with industry and organise workshops and classroom style training formats
  • Co-ordinate product related training sessions including presenting new features activities with a demo environment, and oversea the management of the training portal.
  • Create product best practice videos and other public material.
  • Drive new product and features through the development process including gathering and creating product and managing deadline
