Description:

Fika Consultancy is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to develop and maintain functional and secure networks in Dubai. This role involves supporting existing AMC clients, as well as planning and implementing network solutions for various projects. The ideal candidate should be familiar with temporary network installations and available to travel to Saudi Arabia on a project basis. Experience with Ekahau Sidekick and wireless setup analysis is essential.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 3 years of industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator.
Professional certifications (Cisco, HP, Juniper, Ubiquiti, SonicWall, Fortigate, Palo Alto, Barracuda).
Experience with Peplink routers.
Solid background in network administration and architecture.
In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA and Fortigate Firewalls.
Working knowledge of LAN/WAN, internet, email systems, telecommunications, and data communications; standard operating systems, storage for local and distributed environments.
Hands-on experience with Ekahau Sidekick and wireless setup analysis.

RELEVANT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

TCP/IP networking, including IP classes, subnets, multicast, NAT.
WINS, DNS, and DHCP, network troubleshooting.
Microsoft OS and Server technologies.
Remote access methods.
Backup and disaster recovery methodologies.
Patch management technologies and processes.
Wireless protocols and services.
Network analysis tools.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot network issues for AMC clients both remotely and onsite.
Design, plan, and implement LAN/WAN/Wireless network solutions for permanent and temporary setups.
Install network hardware, peripherals, services, and settings in line with standards and project/operational requirements.
Perform site visits and generate BOQs based on client requirements.
Resolve escalated issues by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure.
Install, configure, and maintain Ubiquiti, Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortigate firewalls, VPN concentrators, and other security appliances.
Install, configure, and maintain load balancers related to network infrastructures.
Serve as the network and security SME for projects with network and security components.
Monitor and maintain VPN gateways and other related equipment and services.
Respond to and mitigate network security events such as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.
Set up and manage network, security, and virtualized infrastructure.
Lead network improvement and maintenance projects.
Travel for temporary installations to KSA and other nearby regions.
Document projects, including Visio diagrams, single-line diagrams, network rack layouts, and connectivity diagrams.
