Network Engineer

< KEY REQUIREMENTS>

• Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in operations or project management in the ICT industry.
• Must have technical troubleshooting skills for well-known hardware and software. (Router, Switch, Firewall, Wireless device, Server, PC, Mobile devices, Office, PDF)
• Must have experience with incident management.
• Must have familiarity with system administration tasks and competence in operating systems.
• Good to have intermediate knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networking technologies (Cisco, HP, Fortinet, Palo Alto, SolarWinds, and AWS Direct Connect)
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Good at producing reliable and consistently high-quality work.
• Must have a user-oriented, supportive mindset.
• Good at multitasking, with a mindset for quick decision-making and taking prompt action.
• Supporting technologies driving daily infrastructure operations.
• Collaborate with project and operations team members with a positive attitude, technical expertise, creativity, and the ability to work under pressure and independently.
• Ability to manage and collaborate with outsourcing vendors.

• Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of IT systems, including servers, networks, and applications, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Support to mentor junior members by providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
• Support to develop and implement IT operational policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with best practices.
• Support to develop and maintain documentation for IT systems, configurations, and procedures, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for team members.
• Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external parties to support IT projects and initiatives, providing input on technical requirements, planning, and executing system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
• Manage relationships with customers, vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and SLAs to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage relationships with the business coordination team and finance team, overseeing the calculation and processing of budget and purchase-related matters.
• Respond to and resolve escalated IT issues and incidents, serving as a point of contact for technical support and troubleshooting.
• Analyze IT operations metrics and KPIs, preparing reports and presentations for management to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for IT operations staff, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster professional development and growth.
• Must have sense of ownership, urgency and self-motivation.
• Monitor IT system performance and security, proactively identifying and addressing issues to minimize downtime and data breaches.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of IT infrastructure and processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
