Description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION

DZYNE Technologies LLC is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to expand its capabilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • They must have a strong working knowledge of network protocols, routing, and security principles, as well as experience with Cisco network devices
  • Demonstrated technical expertise of data network principles, theories, concepts and related disciplines and have project leadership skills including organizing, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates
  • Must be able to contribute to the development of new processes or systems, resolve complex technical problems, and serve as spokesperson or leader on projects
  • Additionally, they must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and lead in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required

PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic understanding of IPv4 address planning, encapsulation techniques, switching, routing, and higher-level service and application protocols
  • Familiar with the basic concepts of NAT, as it relates to inside and outside interfaces
  • Familiarity with network device configurations and troubleshooting (ideally, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE)
  • Experience in DoD C2 systems; wired and wireless sensor network integration from the enterprise to tactical level
  • Familiar with network management applications, such as WhatsUpGold, Splunk, Solarwinds, and/or Cisco ISE
  • Experience with HAIPE/TACLANE and other military COMSEC/CRYPTO equipment and procedures
  • Experience with tactical/military radio networks, to include Satellite Communications Systems
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications / VoIP and VTC
  • Experience with dynamic routing protocols, such as OSPF, EIGRP, RIPv2, or BGP
  • Experience with virtual machines
  • Exposure to the Risk Management Framework, associated security controls, and STIGs
  • Familiar with network management protocols, to include NTP, SNMP, SSH, Syslog, and RADIUS/TACACS
  • A professional certification specific to the networking industry, such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, CASP, JNCIA/JNCIE, or equivalent

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, with at least 5 years of professional experience in a network engineering role.
    Clearance Level Required: Secret Clearance is not required but is highly desired.
    Travel: Up to 20%

Responsibilities:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with engineers to develop new designs or modifications of existing systems as required to meet project goals
  • Work with other unmanned aircraft ground control station and aircraft team members to define computer system and network design requirements
  • Work with other groups such as Software Engineering, Configuration Management and Manufacturing personnel to facilitate tasks completion
  • Work with lead Engineers on sustaining engineering tasks that impact existing GCS and aircraft assemblies and sub-assemblies
  • Experience setting up and managing IP base RF radios
  • Test, Troubleshoot, and repair computer network systems in assigned area by utilizing standard engineering and scientific principles
  • Assist lead Engineers in producing documentation such as System Specifications and Production Test
  • Monitors and analyzes network usage and capacity for UAV systems
  • Participates in the evaluation of new communications technology to enhance the capabilities of the data network
  • Participates in the identification of solutions to ensure current and future data communications requirements are met
  • Participates in the preparation of network documentation, including operational instructions
  • Develops configuration and technical networking support for both production and development systems
  • Coordinate the repair, replacement, or retirement of system and network infrastructure
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and propose resolutions to issues that could impact the network/server infrastructure utilized by customers to support mission operations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required
