QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related technical field preferred.
  • Three (3) years work related professional IT experience commensurate with tasks outlined in this service area preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with Active DoD Secret level (or higher) Security Clearance.
  • Current Security+ CE or CISSP Certification.
  • Current CCNA Collaboration (Voice and Video) Certification (or higher) with a minimum of two (2) years Cisco CUCM experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Basic knowledge of LAN switching technologies (preferred).
  • Knowledge of IT governance and operations.
  • Knowledgeable with Cisco, Juniper, Nortel and Avaya equipment
  • Familiarity implementing DISA STIGs

SKILLS:

  • Understanding of NIPRNET and SIPRNET enclaves, functions, and standards (preferred).
  • Knowledge of computer system and network infrastructure operations (preferred).
  • Understanding and application of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) (preferred).
  • Ability to determine how IT systems should function and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes (preferred).
  • Knowledge and experience installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications (preferred).
  • Ability to analyze workflow, establish priorities, and comply with standards to meet operational deadlines (preferred).
  • Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot Cisco and Avaya Call manager system and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) (preferred).
  • Ability to integrate Avaya and Cisco Voice solution with IP-phones and VTC endpoints (preferred).
  • Understand general networking and Voice over IP (VoIP) concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to take direction and operate without direct supervision to complete tasks.
  • Ability to review and troubleshoot network diagrams and customer requirements.
  • Ability to monitor systems and understand status updates.
  • Ability to work in and enter tickets in Remedy ticketing systems.
  • Ability to deal with customers that may not be network savvy.
  • Ability to create tunnels and certifications for all personnel needing access.
  • Start a project and follow it through to completion with minimal guidance.
  • Create and complete detailed documentation and be able to explain what was completed and how.

Responsibilities:

Provide support for management of infrastructure devices as required for specific platforms and enterprise applications. Administer the functions and capabilities of the infrastructure and provide as applicable, but not limited to, wing level infrastructures, application configurations, traffic management, permissions management, and data structure management.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to install, configure, and troubleshoot Avaya & Cisco voice solutions.
  • Responsible to install, configure, & troubleshoot Avaya CS 1000 & GS 450 hardware.
  • Responsible to integrate Avaya / Cisco Voice solution with IP-phones & VTC end-points.
  • Responsible to install, configure, and troubleshoot Avaya & Cisco Unified communication.
  • Inspect the router / switch audit logs IAW AF and DoD standards for suspected security intrusions or violations. Report any suspected intrusions to the NOS immediately.
  • Understanding of Air Force and ANG network systems and processes.
  • Configure, install, and manage routers and switches within the ANG enterprise.
  • Work with Wire Shark or other related packet analyzers
  • Administer and monitor the Virtual Private Network (VPN), creating tunnels and certifications for all personnel needing access. Install new devices ensuring compliance with DoD and AF policies. Assist in the development and review technical solutions involving the VPN.
  • Configure, install, and troubleshoot Tactical Local Area Network Encryption (TACLANE) devices on the ANG SIPRNet.
  • Configure, install, and manage network switches within their AOR.
  • Provide technical expertise to manage, install and administer the ANG Enterprise Network Voice, Video and Voice over IP solutions.
  • Provide enterprise level architectural design and modification recommendations to enhance, migrate, and secure the ANG Wide Area Network.
