Position Summary
The Network Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, expansion and growth of our local area network. The Network Engineer will maintain the essentials such as operating system, business applications, emails, laptops and desktops.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Support LAN, WAN and intranet systems
• Maintain Zufall’s network and computer systems
• Install and configure hardware and software
• Make upgrades and repairs to operating system, software and hardware as needed
• Continually monitor server and network performance
• Make recommendations for necessary upgrades and new technology
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT policies and procedures
• Provide Level 1 and 2 support to end users
• Work with current Level 3 IT support to resolve issues
• Engage in regular network troubleshooting activities and resolve network connectivity issues
• Administer servers, laptop and desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, company mobile phones, software deployment and patches

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft server and desktop products.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure
• Ability to implement, administer and troubleshoot network infrastructures
• Efficient organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to quickly learn technologies and products using documentation and internet resources.
• Ability to work with all levels of IT staff inside and outside the organization.
• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
• Must be able to complete complex projects with minimal to no supervision
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable and flexible when necessary.

Education, Training and Experience

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field of study or related technical degree preferred
• At least 1-2 years of experience in an IT related field
• Experience with local area network and wide area network administration.
• Proven experience in managing networks and help desk
• Knowledge in managing and configuring Window server and desktop platforms
• Experience with the following systems:
• VMWare maintenance and configuration
• VoIP systems (preferred)
• VMWare and Nakivo Backup & replication software (preferred)
• SAN / NAS solution (preferred)
• Sonicwall firewall (preferred)
• Electronic Health Records (preferred)
• Cisco switches and wireless access point (preferred)
• Ubiquiti network devices (preferred)
