Working within the Infrastructure team and reporting to the Director of Group IT Infrastructure, the Network Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all K3 Capital Group platforms are managed, supported and in line with the agreed policies within the group. This is the ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys a breadth to their role, as it will cover all areas of our IT infrastructure service and is the last line of support for any queries that our external IT support providers are unable to resolve.
This role is aligned to a hybrid workstyle predominantly based in our Bolton office, mixed with home working during the week.

Responsibilities:

Team

  • Responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operation of IT infrastructure.
  • Working with the IT team management to deliver system improvements.
  • Working with third party support providers and suppliers.

Infrastructure Management

  • Provide day to day management and support of K3 Capital Group’s IT infrastructure, working with existing IT Service partners.
  • Monitoring of platform performance to ensure service delivery.
  • Implement system upgrades in line with change control requirements.

IT Service & Support

  • Provide send and third line support to both internal and external IT service teams in order to deliver effective problem resolution.
  • Manage access control for infrastructure and applications in line with company requirements and procedures.

Vendor / Supplier Management

  • Support IT leadership in delivery of projects, including adherence to project plans and timescales.
  • Support IT service desk providers (internal and external) in resolution of support tickets.
  • Escalate support issues to third party experts as required.

Information Security

  • Deliver and maintain Cyber Essentials certification.
  • Monitor K3 Capital Group’s M365 security score, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage inTune configuration and policies.
  • Manage all endpoint vulnerability monitoring and patching with contracted third-party consultancy.
  • Manage firewall configuration across all sites and platforms.
  • Manage antivirus deployment across all endpoints.
  • Manage email security products and services.
  • Manage all third party cloud services to ensure they are in line with group’s information security and risk posture.

Project Delivery

  • Provide regular update reports on projects against milestones and costs.
  • Deliver IT projects as required to support group’s Infrastructure strategy.

Software Configuration

  • Maintain and develop the group’s SharePoint environment(s).
  • Manage SSO integration on core platforms.

Communications

  • Manage group’s cloud telephony solution.
  • Manage group’s mobile and table infrastructure, ensuring group policies are deployed to all devices.

Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery

  • Ensures that all data has effective backup solutions.
  • Maintains and operates a schedule of backup, restore testing – escalates significant risks.
  • Maintains and operates a schedule of DR recovery tests.
  • Contributes to Business Continuity planning.
