We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Network Operation Specialist- Level 1 to join our IT team in Langley, BC.
Reporting to the Manager, IT Operations, the Network Operations Specialist collaborates with IT stakeholders to support Pattison Food Group’s network and phone platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives. They foster teamwork, promote continuous improvement, and prioritize PSP - People, Service, and Profit.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting and maintaining the Pattison Food Group network and phone infrastructure ensuring reliable business operations.
  • Following existing documentation and training to support, troubleshoot, and resolve network and phone-related problems, coordinating with third-party support organizations and internal PFG teams as needed.
  • Supporting and addressing request tickets assigned to the team.
  • Collaborating with the network team on projects to implement new components or upgrades to network and voice platforms.
  • Communicating with PFG end users in retail and office locations.
  • Seeking out opportunities for producing or improving documentation.
  • Configuring and setting up network hardware as needed.
  • Participating in updating and patching efforts for network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, etc.

You have:

  • 1-3 years of support network experience in a mid-size or enterprise size environment.
  • Network certifications from Cisco or Fortinet.
  • Experience with Cisco or Fortinet management consoles.
  • Familiarity with opening, updating, and closing tickets in Service Now.
  • Programming or scripting skills.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
  • Experience supporting routers, switches, wireless LAN controllers and phone systems.
  • Ability to solve technical issues in a wired and wireless network environment.
  • Ability to work in fixed shifts including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
  • Experience working in retail grocery is an asset.

This position is based at the Pattison Food Group office in Langley, B.C. While we’re currently operating with a hybrid work-from-home and in-office schedule, we look forward to the day when we are all able to work together in the office again.
