What you’ll do:

  • Provide specialist and expert planning, advice and direction in relation to the effective efficient and secure use of the WaterNSW’s Networks and security infrastruture and ensure compliance with appropriate standards and procedures for their use in WaterNSW.
  • Provide technical expertise for prompt and effective troubleshooting, diagnostics, root-cause analysis for complex network security issues.
  • Understand and analyse business requirements to develop and design network and security tactical solutions to support operational business objectives and ensure they are established in a timely manner and meet customers’ expectations.
  • Provide specialist technical advice and capacity planning expertise to recommend new network technology or enhancements to existing infrastructure to ensure WaterNSW’s immediate and longer-term information technology requirements are effectively met.
  • Proactively monitor and respond to system alerts derived through various network, security and application monitoring tools, implement appropriate control actions to restore services to normal operating parameters.
