EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Open to graduates upwards.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar engineering discipline.
• A passion for manipulation and visualization of data.
• Working knowledge of Linux.
• Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Knowledge of network protocols and operation.
• Data analysis and visualization in Hadoop, Splunk.
• Data manipulation using tools like MapReduce or SQL.
• Experience with network security products and solutions.
• Degree in Data Science or Machine Learning.
• HTML, CSS and Javascript experience.
• Python.

THE ROLE

Corero is looking for a network visualization software engineer to continue development of our SecureWatch Analytics application. Built on the Splunk big data analysis engine, the Corero SecureWatch Analytics application offers market leading analysis of network DDoS attacks with advanced network traffic analytics, reporting and increasing use of Machine Learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in a small team developing our next generation analytics application.
• Design and build new visualizations and workflows using Splunk dashboards, Splunk query language, Python.
• Develop visualizations within and outside the Splunk framework.
  This position suits a candidate who loves working with data.
