The Networks (MV & HV) Engineer is a critical role within the Onshore Renewables Business, focusing on the delivery of large-scale and industrial self-consumption onshore wind, solar, storage and hybridization projects in Portugal. Belonging to the Engineering Networks Team and reporting to the Engineering Portugal Networks Manager, the Network (MV & HV) Engineer will be responsible (for the projects assigned) for defining and implementing robust and cost-effective engineering strategies and plans (in particular for substation and Power lines), tendering, negotiating and managing contracts, planning and implementing delivery of tasks associated interfaces, and in general to collaborate defining company and business networks (MV & HV) engineering standards and technical acceptance criteria, and ensuring quality, best practices and excellent H&SE performance are applied.
The role will take (for the projects assigned) the lead in defining and engineering the Networks Transmission infrastructures (Substation and Export Power line) associated to wind farm and solar plants and design studies and activities related to Iberdrola International pipeline. The individual will have a minimum knowledge in their field.
The candidate will be managing Networks engineering activities and decisions from an Engineering perspective for the onshore project assigned.
The individual will be working in many different projects in many locations across Portugal. The position may require travelling to various locations across Portugal but not with high frequency.
