Neurology Consultant

at  Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

The postholder will be responsible for providing a comprehensive general outpatient neurology service to the catchment area of Kettering General Hospital, alongside the existing Neurology consultants and Neurology specialist nurses. The postholder will also be providing specialist inpatient review where required, if inpatient beds required the postholder will have access to inpatient beds at Kettering General Hospital. Junior support available via Registrar. Key tasks Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of Neurology patients.
To share with colleagues responsibility for the day-to-day management of general Neurology patients. Provide a full range of neurological services Contribute to the development of the service Teaching and training of junior staff, nurses and medical students from Leicester. To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit. To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME).
