JOB DESCRIPTION

The EMEA Client Operations team ensures adherence to regulatory Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Client (KYC) requirements for the International Private Bank, covering both new and existing clients.
As a Client Onboarding Associate in EMEA Private Bank Operations, you will be responsible for reviewing, validating and authorising Account Opening and KYC documentation during a new client onboarding. You will also execute with attention-to-detail and own the end-to-end KYC journey as well as advise and respond to enquiries on Account Opening and KYC requirements in an efficient manner and escalate any risks as appropriate. You will stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements around client KYC, suitability and documentation, acting as a subject matter expert for Front Office.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Must be fluent in both English and German (verbal/written)
  • Prior financial services or KYC / AML background or relevant degree such as Law, Business, Accountancy
  • Knowledge and understanding of legal, company and tax documentation
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively partner with internal stakeholders
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention-to-detail
  • Self-motivated team-player with ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines

Responsibilities:

  • Process new account opening requests in a timely and efficient manner, with the highest standards of quality to ensure compliance to Bank policies and regulatory / legal requirements
  • Perform documentation updates for existing clients within the agreed timeframe
  • Prepare client KYC analysis and work with Front Office to obtain updated KYC and any related documentation
  • Review legal, account opening and tax documentation to determine whether it meets regulatory and internal policies to open or maintain an account
  • Enter client due diligence data into various systems and databases with accuracy
