DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC SOURCING

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Vice President, Strategic Sourcing, this position is responsible for Supplier Relationship Management, developing and setting global sourcing strategies and leading a team to execute on initiatives to drive down the total cost of materials while supporting continuous improvement in the supply chain performance. This position is a key member of the CCB (Change Control Board) responsible to manage, monitor and report reference bus material cost changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishes the Corporate global sourcing strategies to build a reliable, cost effective and strong performing supply chain that drives a competitive advantage.
  • Mentors, manages, and leads a sourcing team to achieve annual objectives.
  • Leads managing strategic supplier relationships through Supplier Business Review Meetings aligning all aspects of supplier performance and cost objectives.
  • Directs and manages the negotiation of long-term supply agreements with strategic suppliers to reduce the total cost of ownership.
  • Ensures pricing accuracy and data accuracy within Oracle to facilitate accurate information for bidding and financial reporting.
  • Directs the team in continuous spend competitive analysis to ensure best pricing across spend categories.
  • Oversees the bid costing activities to support pricing meetings as well as all SRCR pricing input requirements.
  • Manages compliance with Buy America, New York content, FTA DBE requirements, and other regulatory commitments.
  • Project manages the evaluation, approval, and implementation of new suppliers through to a smooth transition to the Supply Team.
  • Monitors and reports on system cost and price accuracy and monitors purchase price variances.
