Based in either Rotterdam or Hamburg, and with a focus on the safe operation of cryogenic gas bunker vessels, the New Fuels Scheduling Manager will be instrumental in the development of Bunker Holding’s commercial offering in alternative marine fuels. Through regular liaison with the commercial team, the candidate will be responsible for the daily scheduling and operation of the company’s bunker vessels supplying our customers with LNG and other new fuels.
In addition to daily operations, you will also become part of a core team developing new physical offerings for alternative fuels. Your input will be sought in the development of safe operating practices for the supply of new fuels, whilst you will benefit from the opportunity to enhance your own knowledge further through participation in industry working groups, training and knowledge sharing platforms
PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL SKILLS
We expect you to have minimum 5 years’ experience in the shipping industry, ideally with + 3 years’ experience in gas carriers and/or bunker vessel operations. Experience and knowledge within the LNG, renewable energy markets and related environments are highly beneficial as well as proven experience with shipping related legal and commercial documents (TCP, SPA). You have strong stakeholder management skills and besides being a quick learner you are also a flexible team player, who is willing to do what is needed to get the job done. An open mind and desire to learn whilst also contributing to knowledge sharing will be just as important.
Furthermore, you:
- Have a nautical degree or operational education in a shipping company.
- Have HSEQ related training.
- Are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Responsibilities:
- Day to day operational management of spot and time-chartered bunker vessels, whereby ensuring the safety and the proper execution of the charter party.
- Monitoring performance and compliance with TCP.
- Providing the commercial team with guidance on scheduling, including loading, voyage planning and assessment of safe execution of bunker operations.
- Liaison with port authorities, loading terminals and other key stakeholders.
- Participate in internal and external knowledge building forums.
