POSITION SUMMARY
To provide HV battery technical support to the Service, Service Engineering and Warranty Depts. To understand and advise on technical matters related to the integration, field support, and life cycle management of HV batteries and related systems procured by New Flyer for use in New Flyer products.

Responsibilities:
- Have a detailed understanding of all HV battery systems being installed in all New Flyer products.
- Obtain an in-depth knowledge of supplier specifications, construction, and application requirements.
- Provide technical support on HV batteries to the Warranty Dept. Review supplier RMA reports and work with the respective supplier to resolve discrepancies in the reports.
- Work with the Warranty Dept to jointly provide monthly HV battery reliability reports to management
- Provide technical support to establish and maintain a technical reference library for HV batteries.
- Provide technical support to establish and maintain remote monitoring of the HV batteries for the life cycle batteries.
- Provide technical advice and opinions to management related to risk assessment of HV battery and related systems.
- Lead and assist with investigations to resolve product problems related to HV batteries and related systems.
- Initiate instructions to service and service bulletins related to HV batteries and related systems. This may require field work to determine root cause and corrective action.
- Maintain a working relationship with New Flyer battery suppliers
- Work with battery suppliers to minimize risks and optimize customer experience with zero emission vehicle in the field.
- Provide advice to the Publications Department with updated battery information for the manuals as well as suggestions on how to improve the information in our manuals.
- Special assignments as required.
