Description:

Our Marketing team is seeking to appoint an experienced Coal Quality & Logistics Coordinator to support Coal Marketing and Logistics activities through liaising with key external and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislation, sale requirements, contractual terms and business processes. This role reports into the General Manager Marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Marketing and Logistics team to deliver the following for New Acland Mine:
- Coal quality tracking from CHPP to Customer
- Coal blending and optimisation of quality to customer
- Strategic scheduling of rail and stockpile management
- 3 week rail plan, rail cargo allocation
- Vessel scheduling
- Customer cargo scheduling and performance reporting
- Port liaison
- Smooth operation of product coal chain
- Minimise vessel demurrage
- Laytime calculation and settlement
- Provide effective support to the Department with a strong emphasis on customer service and timely delivery
- Maintain a daily working knowledge of NHG Marketing & Logistics strategy and scheduling, including production schedules, to ensure an end to end understanding of the Coal Supply Chain beginning at the output from the CHPP through to loading of ships for export.
- Work with the Marketing & Logistics team to maximise revenue and minimise costs where appropriate.
- Facilitate the day-to-day Domestic coal sales tasks
- Understand and be able to support the functions of the Marketing Officer’s
- Collaborative approach to planning and implementing Logistics day of operations and Domestic sales, including records management and invoicing.
- Support commercial matters and general marketing administration including ‘Know Your Customer’, contract preparation and approvals.
