Compass Associates are extremely proud to be working with an award-winning Private Surgical Hospital, located in Derby, who offer a full range of specialities including endoscopy, cancer care, private GP, orthopaedic and both Men and Women’s health. At present, they are looking for an experienced Staff Nurse to join them on their Elective Surgical Ward.

The Candidate
The Ideal candidate should have a minimum 12-months experience as an RGN and confident in their ability to provide a high standard of patient care. They will also be self-motivated, positive thinking and proven to be able to provide extremely high standards of patient care, as well as manage and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
As a Staff Nurse you will work closely with the team providing care to patients following their surgical procedures. You will change surgical wound dressings, take out drain tubes and sutures from healed wounds, dispense tablets and deliver intravenous and intramuscular injections as required.

Role Requirements
– Fully qualified RGN with 12 months post-registration experience
– NMC registered
– Excellent communication skills
– Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
– Resilient, willing to learn and able to work well under pressure
