Description:

We are looking for someone to join our Roost on a full-time permanent basis, with the successful candidate working 4 days on, 4 days off between 8pm & 8am. Our new Night Owls (Customer Service Advisor) will become a key part of our existing, friendly and experienced property team at our Dobbie’s Point Property in Glasgow.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Hours: 42 per week working 4 on 4 off
Salary: £27,300 per annum
The City: Glasgow is home to around 185,000 students from over 140 different countries, and is a vibrant city steeped in history, providing the perfect home for locals and new arrivals alike. The citys slogan of People make Glasgow is true to see with our friendly hospitality and eager to help attitudes. The city has some of the best shopping, dining, and days out in Scotland and there is always something to do while in Glasgow.
The Site: Dobbies Point is in Glasgow City Centre and is a bustling home to 440 students, mainly undergraduates moving to the city for the first time. Our building offers a 24/7 service with team members working a mixture of day shifts, night shifts and weekends to ensure we provide a consistent service and safe environment. On site, we offer facilities such as a gym, laundry, cinema room and games area. The property has shared flats for 3 to 8 people and studios for those who prefer a bit of privacy. Each flat becomes a home for our residents, and many newfound friendships are created at Dobbies Point. The building is maintained daily, putting our residents safety and enjoyment at the forefront of what we do; whether that is ensuring the hot drink station is fully stocked, fire alarm testing is being conducted, and room viewings are taking place for prospective new residents.
The Vibe: People make Dobbies (From Maria, our Customer Service Advisor!) Dobbies Point is a busy building, where no two days are ever the same. One day you will be involved in organising our monthly event calendar, and the next you may be helping a resident who is feeling home sick! Teamwork is important to keep the 24/7 service consistent, and to ensure our residents are supported no matter what time of day or night. Our team of twelve are friendly, helpful, and always ready to solve any problems that come our way! Our newest recruit should have a positive outlook and be keen to get stuck into a busy role.
Are you a people person, awake to the opportunities of delivering exceptional student support in the early hours?
Our residents expect a round-the-clock service to fit with their busy study and social lives, so we need people who strive to deliver the same excellent level of customer service at 1am that we provide at 1pm.
As a Night Owl, you will be the first point of contact for residents between the hours of 8pm and 8am. From running onsite events and facilitating late night room viewings to collecting rent and liaising with overseas agents, being busy is what you do best. Youre an important part of our residents stay, supporting students who might need to report a maintenance issue, collect a parcel, ask for directions or simply need to chat. Every interaction matters, which is exactly why you matter.

THE US PART

So you know what were looking for, but what are you looking for from your next employer? Sure, Student Roost has a portfolio of purpose-built student accommodation properties across the UK but more than that, Student Roost is its people.
While we strive to put our residents first, our people also include those at the heart of what we do: the property teams, Night Owls, support staff, HQ teams and more who help to keep ours a 24/7/365-day home away from home for everyone who chooses to live with us. We ask that you seek to make a difference every day you show up, and in return well show up for you by rewarding whats right, supporting you in your career growth and aspirations, and championing the unique qualities and ideas that only you can bring to the business.
Simply put: you do you, so we grow together.
