Job role: Night Youth Support Worker
Location: Chesterfield, S40
Salary: £24,284 - £26,211 per annum (Inclusive of attendance bonus)

The Role:

As a Night Youth Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the lives of young people who require social, emotional, and mental health support. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day care and support to young people.
  • Assisting in daily routines to ensure their well-being.
  • Creating a safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with young people, promoting trust and emotional well-being.
  • Empower and motivate them to achieve their goals and overcome challenges.
  • Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere within the home.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for the young people in your care.

What you’ll bring:

  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people’s lives.
  • A willingness to work towards or current qualification in QCF level 3 in Residential Childcare.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Resilience to be able to deal with challenging situations.
  • Positive role model - honesty and empathy are a must.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to working the homes rota of 5 shifts on, 5 shifts off
