We are on the look-out for a Telecom Analyst to join our team!
This position is located in Milwaukee, WI or Brentwood, TN and is open to candidate who live within 2.5 hours of either location.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Responsible for planning, designing, and implementing telecommunication networks. Reviews
and performs the installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems and technologies.
Provides assistance and technical support for network design activities.
1. Establishes and assures compliance of organizational standards for telephone system design, allocation of instruments, messaging technologies, network utilization, and vendor support.
2. Responds to user complaints to research complex problems associated with Brookdale’s telecommunication networks (voice and/or data). Diagnoses problem source through discussion with users.
3. Develops supporting documentation of all activities.
4. Installs and maintains all telecommunications systems and equipment. Serves as the point of contact to technical support from equipment vendors.
5. Coordinates and performs all telephone moves. Assists in software moves and changes.
6. Trains and informs dissemination about new/unused telecommunications features and when they are posted/distributed. Communicates when refresh-training classes are offered.
7. Reviews all orders for equipment purchases or contracted services.
8. Assists in telecommunications planning and budgeting, as required.
9. Prints and reviews daily/weekly/monthly ACD reports and monthly telephone system traffic reports.
10. Designs, leads and performs routine telecommunications related projects.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or other related field required.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in network required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Uses limited independent judgment to make decisions based on precedents and established guidelines.
  • Solves problems using standard procedures and precedents. Knows when to refer issues to supervisor and when to handle them personally.
  • Has a working knowledge of a skill or discipline that requires basic analytic ability.
  • Has an overall understanding of the work environment and process.
  • Has a working knowledge of the organization.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $40,800 - $97,800.”
