Team overview and job responsibilities
We are looking for a Controller. Based in Nogales – Mexico, that candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations at the plant level, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Collaborating with plant management to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and enhance profitability.
Managing the preparation and dissemination of plant-level financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP
Conducting comprehensive analysis of production costs, material consumption, and inventory levels
Facilitating and supporting internal and external audits
Ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal regulations as well as adherence to corporate policies
Assessing risks associated with plant operations and implementing appropriate risk-mitigation strategies.
Leading and training an accounting and finance team at the plant.

Job responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct the activities of the accounting department staff.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective action.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain operational and financial controls.
  • Prepare and manage annual budget and forecast.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions.
  • Coordinate and review external audit activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management preferred.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis.
  • Knowledge of GAAP principles and internal controls.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Access.
