Description:
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
Fisher BioServices seeks a Sr. Account Manager to support and grow our Bio-repository and Transportation business in our U.S. West Coast region. This individual leads all aspects of developing and implementing tactical and critical initiatives that support business growth in the Pharmaceutical and Biotech market segments. This role sells various nonclinical trials, bio-repository/biobanking, laboratory, cold chain supply, and kit production services within a defined territory. The aim is to build long-term growth for the business unit in this space based on selling quality services and developing innovative solutions for our clients. The Sr. Account Manager will also establish and manage the business relationships with internal partners, including seeking new and incremental business with existing customers and identifying, targeting, and proposing new business with new customers. With a combination of existing and new customers, this position is encouraged to build a pipeline, prioritize, and support the collection of new business opportunities across the Pharma, Biotech, and Academic markets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic execution plan within PSG (Pharma Services Group), CRG (Clinical Research Group) and Fisher BioServices to develop, gain and grow the U.S. West Coast Region
- Identify and secure sales opportunities consistent with Thermo Fisher’s core strengths while developing and implementing the sales strategy to secure these accounts.
- Maintain effective customer relations with purchasing and end users within the assigned territory
- Demonstrate available resources to meet customer needs and work optimally with a cross-functional team of internal resources
- Drive sales strategies to meet plan and expand business within assigned territory; Maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives; generate and qualify leads, perform outbound marketing campaigns
- Works with internal personnel (operations, account executives) to identify ways to optimize services (existing and future) and drive RFP success by demonstrating leadership with account-specific targets/plans to drive growth
- Perform sales calls with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory
- Research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers, incorporating this data in the business plan; Introduce new products and services
- Show initiative to develop programs to drive growth in any economic condition
- Handle pricing within the territory to control profitability
- Achieve sales targets additional MBOs (Management Objectives) as needed
- Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations
- Engage and participate in a practical process improvement (PPI) environment.
- Strive for continuous improvement and complete required training as needed
- Willingness to travel 25-40% and work in a global team of professionals
