SUMMARY

Under the supervision and guidance of the assigned Loan Operations Manager; process loans and renewals. Verify and correct transaction errors.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must be at a minimum, 18 years of age.

EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of banking experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in general administrative skills which include keeping an office organized and running efficiently is preferred.
  • Demonstrate excellent adaptability in the workplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strict privacy regarding customer account information. Maintain customer confidence and protect bank operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Provide customers with exceptional customer service and execute operational excellence. In person: Greet every customer with a smile, maintain eye contact, call them by name, stay connected in conversation and let them know they are appreciated. When on the telephone: Speak with a smile, call them by name, stay connected in the conversation and let them know they are appreciated.
  • Ability to articulate effectively and accurately with customers by answering questions in person or on the telephone. Refer customers to other bank services as necessary. Ability to logically comprehend and execute detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Visually review customer transactions verifying necessary information and identify items which require review.
  • Ability to use mathematical skills using money (add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers) required.
  • Daily duties consist of processing new loans and renewals. Process loan payments received, verify new loan and renewals to ensure they are error free. Verify accuracy within core banking system.
  • Verify and track loan documents in Bankway. Work daily tracking items and update core banking system as needed.
  • Frequently address and correct transaction errors. Correct payments applied incorrectly in core banking system. Post payments to the core system. Amend loan information as needed.
  • Process and update outstanding exception items on loans.
  • Frequent scanning of documentation and verifying scanned copy for accuracy.
  • Operate computer, telephone, keyboard, scanner, and copier. Basic computer skills including knowledge in MS Office, Outlook, typing, 10 key and the internet. Strong knowledge of MS Word and Excel is preferred. Has visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing a computer terminal and/or extensive reading. Proficiency with internal bank software, FIS IS View, and Loan Operations Platform will be required.
  • Must be able to arrive at work on time, work on site and work cooperatively with other co-workers.
  • Complete all on-line compliance Teal Training courses in a timely manner.
  • Management will determine when employees attend trainings.
  • Additional duties may be assigned or required by management.
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities
