NPI Product Engineer (m/f/d)

at  Advantest

• Work in the New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering team which drives Advantest towards operational excellence in an outsourced manufacturing environment
• Actively drive and influence designs of new products (HW and test SW) of the V93000 IC tester
• Qualify changes both in NPI phase and production and manage the roll out to the whole supply chain (process optimization, quality improvements, cost reduction)
• Define and monitor manufacturing metrics to monitor quality, analyze root causes in case of issues and define corrective actions with the objective to constantly fulfill Advantest customer demand
• Work closely with Advantest contract manufacturers and Advantest development, supply chain and product marketing teams in a very international environment.
• Evaluate data and provide special technical advice to peers and management

Requirements:

• Bachelor/Master degree in electronic engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of development of printed circuit assemblies and years of experience in end-to-end manufacturing processes of high level electronic assemblies
• Analytical skills in failure identification (data analysis to identify HW errors, electronic measurements, debugging electronic assemblies)
• Strong ownership and pro-active mindset
• Ability to define schedules and keep time lines
• Good Communication skills and team player in cross-functional and cross-company environment both in English and German
• Willing to travel up to 20% of time
