The LSMU Land Team (the Land Team) delivers a Sustainable Horticulture Project to assist individuals, families and communities throughout the Torres Strait to produce and access a wider range of fresher and affordable produce for community sustainability and well-being.
The Project acknowledges the immense value of traditional knowledge, skills and practices in relation to traditional horticulture, and works to support both traditional and contemporary horticulture practiced across in the Torres Strait today.
